Halesi Mahadev has been offered an equal status to the Pashupatinath Temple of Katkmandu and thus is regarded as the Pashupatinath of Eastern Nepal. Halesi Mahadev Tour pursues the trail into the hilly region located amid the two roaring rivers of Dudhkoshi and Sunkoshi.
Halesi Mahadev Tour is a tour to the Halesi Mahadev Temple which is securely positioned inside the cave where creature of night lurks around. Buddhist Monk Padmasambhav is believed to have meditated in the cave of Halesi Mahadev. Three mysterious caves in the premise are referred as the three eyes of Lord Shiva. Major attractions of Halesi Mahadev Cave incorporate five different doors namely Ghopte Dwar, Janma Dwar, Pap Dwar, Dharma Dwar and Swarga Dwar.
