# Introduction :- Micro
Media Freehand is on of the most popular publication software. You can
use this program to do publishing such as card, poster, new paper, loges
and color separation.
HOW TO ACCESS THE FREEHAND
ÿ Go to start.
ÿ Click on Program. (displays a pad)
ÿ Click on Micro Media. (displays a pad)
ÿ Click on Freehand 9 (You will get a freehand's window)
Tools of Freehand:
1) 
Select tool (V):- It is used to select the object.
Select tool (V):- It is used to select the object.
2) Sub Select Tool (A):- :- It is used to select or curve the line.
3) Page tool: - :- It is used to enlarge and reduce the page size.
4) Lasso tool (L):- :- It is used to select an object.
5) Pen tool (P):- :- It is used to draw line and point.
6) Begion tool :- :- It is used to create the shape.
7) Pencil tool (Y) :- It is used to draw an art.
8) Line tool (N) :- It is used draw to the line.
9) Rectangular (R) :- It is used to draw the rectangular.
10) Oval tool (O) :- It is used to draw the oval.
11) Polygon tool (G) :- It is used to draw the polygon.
12) Spiral Tool :- It is used to draw the spiral line.
13) Freeform tool (F) :- It is used to create the shape freely.
14) Perspective :- It is used to arrange so guide.
Transform tool :
a) Move tool :- It is used to move the selected object.
b) Rotate tool :- It is used to rotate the selected object.
c) Scale tool :- It is used to reduce and enlarge the object.
d) Skew tool :- It is used to skew the selected object.
e) Reflect tool :- It is used to reflect the selected object.
f) Trace tool :- It is used to trace of the image.
g) Knife tool :- It is used to cut an object.
INSPECTOR TOOLS
1) Object :- It is used to change the object configuration as your requirement.
2) Fill :- It is used to fill the color.
a) Basic :- To put any one color.
b) None :- It is used to pun none color.
c) Gradient :- You can use this option to put more color.
d) Lenses :- It is used to lines the selected part.
3) Stroke :- It is used to reduce and enlarge the stroke size.
4) Text :- It is used to change font, size, style and effect.
5) Document :- To choose page, size and orientation.
File menu
1) Import (Ctrl+R) :- It is used to import the graphic file.
F Go to file menu.
F Click on Import. (displays a box)
F You should choose file.
F Click on import.
2) Export :- It is used to export our creation in different file format.
F You should create an object or matter.
F Go to file menu.
F Click on Export. (displays a box)
F You should type name.
F You should choose format such as jpg.
F Click on ok.
3) Export again :- It is used to export again edited file.
F Go to file menu.
F Click on Export again.
4) Report :- You can use this option to create report about the file.
F Go to file menu.
F Click on Report.
F Click on save. (displays a box)
F You should type name.
F Click on save.
5) Out put collection :- It is used to collect the all configuration of the file.
F You should make a folder.
F Go to file menu.
F Click on out put collection. (displays a box)
F Click on yes.
F Click on ok.
F You should give name.
F Click on save.
6) Printer setup :- It is used to set the printer.
F Go to file menu.
F Click on printer set up. (displays a box)
F You should select printer.
F Click on ok.
7) Print area :- It is used to set print area to print the matter.
F Go to File menu.
F Click on Print area. ( You will get a pointer)
F And you should mark the area for printing.
Edit menu
1) Copy special :- You can use this option to copy the selected object in different format.
F You should select an object.
F Go to edit menu.
F Click on copy special. (displays a box)
F You can select format.
F Click on ok.
2) Paste behind :- It is used to paste the copied matter in behind side.
F You should cut or copied the matter.
F You should draw an object.
F Go to edit menu.
F Click on paste behind.
3) Paste in front :- It is ued paste the copied or cut object in front of the selected object.
4) Pate inside :- It is used to paste the selected object in the object.
F You should cut or copy the object.
F You should draw an object.
F Go to edit menu.
F Click on paste behind.
5) Cut contents :- It is used to clear the object that is set by paste inside command.
F You should draw an object.

F You must draw a rectangular or oval.

6) Duplicate (Ctrl+Alt+D) :- It is used to create the duplicate object.

F Click on clone.
8) Select :- It is used to select the matter.

9) Links :- You can use this option to change the link's object.
F You should import an object.
F Go to edit menu.
F Click on Links. (displays a box)

F You should choose an image.
F Click on open.

10) Preference: - It is used to customize your work.
F Go to edit menu.
F Click on Preference. (displays a box)
F You have to change your option.
F Click on default.
F Click on ok.
11) Keyboard shortcut: - It is used to add or remove the commands and tools.
F Go to edit menu.
F Click on Keyboard shortcut. (displays a box)
F You can add or remove tools and commands by dragging mouse.
View menu
1) Fit Selection (Ctrl+Alt+O) :- It is used to magnifying and reducing the view matter.
F You should make an object.
F Go to view menu.
F Click on Fit Selection.
2) Fit to page :- It is used to move your layered artwork, magnifying and reducing view.
3) Magnification :- It is used to magnifying and reducing the view size.
F Go to view menu.
F Click on Magnification. (displays a box)
F You should size option.
F Click on ok.
4) Flash anti-alias :- You can used this option to optimizing document redraw.
F Go to view menu.
F Click on Flash anti-alias.
5) Hide selection :- It is used to hide the selected object.
F You should select an object.
F Go to view menu.
F Click on Hide selection.
6) Show all :- It is used to show all the hide selection.
7) Tool bars (Ctrl+Alt+T) :- It is used to show and hide the toolbars.
8) Panels (F1) :- It is used to show and hide the panels.
9) Page ruler :- It is used to hide or unhide the page ruler.
10) Text ruler :- It is used to hide or unhide the text ruler.
11) Grid :- It is used to show or hide the Grid.

F Click on Grid. (displays a box).

12) Perspective Grid :- To define the perspective Grid.

Modify :
1) Transform :- It is used to transform the object such as scale, move rotate and skew.
a) Scale :- To increase and decrease the size of selected object.
b) Move :- To move the object.
c) Reflect :- To reflect an object in different angle.
2) Arrange :- It is used to arrange the selected object such as bring to front, move forward etc.

3) Alignment :- It is used to sort an object in row or column wise.

F You should choose options as your requirement.
4) Join :- It is used to join the selected object.

5) Split
F You must join the path.

6) Combine :- You can used to option to combine the selected object.
a) Blend :- to create the blend along a path.

b) Union :- To using the Union command.
c) Divided :- To divided the selected part.
d) Intersect :- To using the intersect command.
e) Punch :- to punch the selected part.
7) Rasterize :- It is used to converting vector graphics to bitmap image.
F Go to Modify menu.
F Click on Rasterize. (displays a box)
F You should give number.
F Click on ok.
8) Lock :- It is used to lock the selected object.
9) Group (Ctrl+G) :- It is used to group the selected matter.
F You should select the matter.
F Go to Modify menu.
F Click on Group.
10) Symbol :- It is used to convert text in to the symbol.
F You should type the text.
F Go to Modify menu.
F Click on Symbol. (displays a pad)
F Click on convert in symbol.
Text menu:
1) Font :- It is used to change the fonts.
2) Size :- It is used to change or set the font's size.
3) Style :- It is used to change or set the font's style.
4) Effect :- You can use this option to set the text effect such as highlights, inline, shadow, stroke and zoom.
5) Align :- It is used to set alignment of the text. such as right, left etc.
6) Leading :- It is used to set the space between two lines.
7) Convert case :- It is used to convert the case.
F You should type some text.
F Go to text menu.
F Click on Convert case. (displays a pad)
F You should choose the case.
8) Spelling :- It is used to check the spelling and grammar.
F You should type some text.
F Go to text menu.
F Click on Spelling. (displays a box)
F Click on start and you can check to start spelling.
9) Flow inside path (Ctrl+Shift+W) :- It is used to flowing text inside the path.
F You should type some text.
F You should draw an object and select it.
F Go to Text menu.
F Click on Flow inside path.
10) Attach to path (Ctrl+Shift+Y) :- You can use this option to attaching text to path.
F You should type some text.
F You should draw an object and select it.

F Click on Attach to path.
11) Convert to path (Ctrl+Shift+P) :- This command is used to converting the text in to path.
F You should type some text.
F Go to text menu.
F Click on Convert to path.
